Limited Hospital Cover

Limited Hospital Cover provides the most basic level of hospital cover and is generally the cheapest. It is also sufficient to avoid paying the Medicare Levy Surcharge, which is a government surcharge on the taxable income of individuals who earn over $97,000 a year and couples who earn over $194,000 a year total. However, Limited Hospital Cover products exclude a large number of benefits that other hospital policies cover as standard, and in some instances, provides cover only where you need treatment as a result of an accident.
